Finally broke my start-of-year-bad-book-streak with this absolute gem! Serves me right for trying outside-my-comfort-zone fiction. Yes, well-researched non-fiction about niche dark historical topics is the way for me! And this absolutely fit the bill. Venditozzi and Mitchell knock it out of the park with this one. Add the bonus that they do the audiobook narration themselves, which means several hours of getting to listen to the world’s best accent (ahem, Scottish), and we’ve got a winner. I’ve never heard of or listened to the How To Kill a Witch podcast before, but maybe I’ll give it a go now if it means getting more of this in my life.
