Goodreads Review: Al Franken, Giant of the Senate by Al Franken

Four start review, originally posted here on August 4, 2017. (Note this was several months before he left the senate under less than stellar circumstances.)

Not much to say here; if you know anything about Al Franken or have read any of his previous books, this will be pretty much exactly what you expect. Nothing mind-blowing, but a lighthearted easy read memoir (with jokes!). The only major difference between this book and his previous ones (at least as far as I can recall cuz it’s been a long time since my last Franken book) is that this book has a strong focus on how you need to be able to get along with your coworkers in Congress even if you disagree with them, etc, so he spends most of the book being a very nice man instead of ripping Republicans to shreds (with the exception of Ted Cruz, to whom he dedicates an entire chapter of malice.)
