For all those people out there who voted for Trump: The best I can manage to explain your behavior is that you simply don’t know any people who will be hurt by a Trump presidency. Perhaps you do not know any refugees or immigrants. And also do not know any black people. And also do not know any Hispanic people. And also don’t know any Muslim people. And on top of that, you do not know anyone who has a preexisting medical condition, and anyone who cannot afford insurance. You do not know anyone with a disability. You do not know any POWs and you do not know any veterans. You do not know any gay or trans people. You do not know anyone who lives in daily fear of Putin or who lives in a NATO country. You do not know any victims of sexual assault. You do not know any women who are not a ten. No, beyond that, somehow you do not know any women at all. Trump has made it abundantly clear that he has disdain for all of these people and will not represent them. So either you do not know any of these people, or you just plain do not give a shit about them. I’m not sure it is possible to express just how disgusted and ashamed I am of my country right now.
