I am glad that I read this book, even though I had never heard of Greg Mortenson before. It was still an important and interesting topic, and I was overall really blown away by how jacked up the entire situation is. It served as a reminder to think through our own actions, even those that are well-intentioned. I respect Krakauer immensely, and I believe he really did his research here. However, the book did tend to get a bit repetitive, especially towards the end where he threw in some updates, and it just got too bogged down and boring.
