Normunds Treijs gatavo rotaslietas kopā ar savu jaunāko meitu, Amandu Treijs-Lipacis. Normunda stils ir vienmēr bijis kalt modernas rotas, kas ir tehniski komplicētas un grūti izgatavojamas. Metodes ieskaita: “synclastic un anticlastic raising”, “forging” un “damascus” asmeņu gatavošanu.

Normunds ir apbalvots Amerikā, Kanadā un Japānā. Viņš ir emeritus profesors Ņujorkas Hofstra universitātē.

Amanda jau no agrām dienām ir skatijusies kā viņas papa kaļ rotas. Viņa pati sāka nopietni nodarboties ar rotkalšanu kamēr studēja Hofstra universitātē.

Normunds Treijs works alongside his youngest daughter, Amanda Treijs-Lipacis creating jewelry. Normunds enjoys executing technically advanced, difficult, and challenging, one of a kind pieces. Techniques include: synclastic and anticlastic raising, forging, and smithing damascus blades.

 

Normunds has won awards and has been recognized in the United States, Canada, and Japan. He is Professor Emeritus of Hofstra University in New York.

 

From a young age, Amanda watched in fascination as her father created pieces in the workshop. She caught the jewelry bug while completing her studies at Hofstra University.
